United Pens New Sponsorship Deal
Manchester United have announced a seven-year shirt sponsorship deal with General Motors.
Chevrolet, the club's official car partner, will become only the fifth shirt sponsor in the club's 134-year history from the 2014-15 season.
United's commercial director, Richard Arnold, told the club's official website : "This is a fantastic, long-term deal for the club.
"We have been partners with Chevrolet for only six weeks, but already they have produced some fantastic ideas that will benefit both the partnership and our 659million followers around the world.
"They are a key partner on our current tour and I know they have enjoyed experiencing the buzz generated by our fanatical support and the sell-out crowds in South Africa, China, and Europe.
"It is a great thrill for those of us who work with partners all year round when an existing partner steps up to being one of our principal partners. This commitment to United and its fans will bring real benefits to everyone who cares about the club."
Chevrolet will replace Aon, whose partnership with United began in the 2010/11 season.

Liverpool accept offer for Aquilani
Liverpool have accepted an undisclosed offer from Fiorentina for Italian midfielder Alberto Aquilani.
The 28-year-old has flown to Italy from the Reds' pre-season tour of the United States to complete his move.
Liverpool are likely to step up their attempts to sign Swansea's Joe Allen if the deal proceeds as expected.
Aquilani has failed to settle at Anfield since signing in 2009 for £20m from Roma and has been on loan for the last two seasons.
His stints at AC Milan last term and Juventus in the 2010-11 season mean he did not play for former Reds' managers Kenny Dalglish and only made two appearances for Roy Hodgson.
And despite having two years left on his contract and completing pre-season under new boss Brendan Rodgers, it appears that his time at Liverpool is coming to a conclusion.
Rafael Benitez brought Aquilani toAnfield as a replacement for Xabi Alonso, but he struggled with injury and made 26 appearances in his first season.

Fee Agreed For Modric
Tottenham have settled on a fee with Real Madrid over the sale of Luka Modric .
The Sun says Spurs last night agreed a £36 million fee with Real Madrid for Modric.
The Croatia midfielder had already said he would join Jose Mourinho’s side but was waiting for the clubs to reach a deal.
He almost ruined his chances of a move by refusing to go on Spurs’ pre-season tour.
But Real officials persuaded him to apologise and return.
Madrid were reluctant to meet Spurs’ valuation but Mourinho wanted Modric as soon as possible.

Mikel Returns To Super Eagles
Chelsea ace Mikel Obi will stage a long-awaited return to the Super Eagles for a 2013 Nations Cup qualifier in Liberia, officials disclosed.
From the programme Eagles coach Stephen Keshi submitted tothe Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the AFCON qualifier in Monrovia on September 8, MTNFootball.comscooped that the Chelsea midfielder, who was sensationally left out of the June qualifiers, has been handed a second chance with the national team.
Keshi has allegedly been at odds with Mikel’s commitment to the national cause and that was why he overlooked him in June, just weeks after he starred in Chelsea’s historic UEFA ChampionsLeague triumph at Bayern Munich.
“Mikel is among the players listed by Keshi for the Liberia match,” a top official specially informed MTNFootball.com.

The midfielder, who can play either as a playmaker or an offensive player coming from deep, has continued to shine at Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv. And with Keshi desperate for creativityin the middle of the park, the former Warri Wolves star has thusbeen reconsidered.
